Animal Fact
An ostrich on two legs can run faster than a horse on four legs, but it cannot run as far. After about a half hour, it slows down. Taking 15-foot strides, the ostrich runs about 30 miles an hour. |

Bird in the Hand
We are gearing up and are optimistic for our next breeding season of Attwater's Prairie Chickens. Twenty-four (24) pairs are established that will hopefully produce many eggs for us. We'll incubate these and cross our fingers for high fertility and healthy chicks. Come on out and visit us with a Behind the Scenes Tour and see our little charges!
